The Roots
The roots of our passionate venture lie in our humble home gardens at Shangpung, West Jaiñtia Hills, Meghalaya. Growing Lakadong Turmeric for the consumption of our small family was something we thoroughly enjoyed and appreciated. And going back to traditional farming practices was our go-to approach.
This beloved hobby soon blossomed into na Kper: Homegardens’ Harvest: a passionate venture to offer you the benefits of consuming traditionally produced home-grown harvests. Through our brand, we intend on promoting traditional and sustainable farming practices while abiding by the rules of fair-trade practices.
The Products & Our Versatile Workforce
na Kper: Homegardens’ Harvest offers a range of products, including Lakadong Turmeric, black and white sticky rice, perilla seeds, and black pepper. Our products are hand-processed, with little to zero addition of chemicals and fertilisers. We also share our interests and endeavours with like-minded and equally passionate people who practice traditional farming with the objective to safeguard the environment. Our partners who provide us with our range of products from their respective home gardens, and paddy fields hail from varied backgrounds.
As a brand, we take immense pride in our diverse female workforce, responsible for meticulously crafting our home garden harvests. A good number of them belong to humble backgrounds. Our honest endeavour is to help them attain financial independence.
